About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Quality and Improvement Practitioner to join our team at Optima Care. As a Quality Lead, you will play a key role in driving a person-centred and quality improvement culture across our organisation.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the Quality Team, Service Managers, and Operations Managers to monitor and embed a quality improvement culture across the organisation.
  2. Communicate key initiatives and drive the message of the importance of quality across all sites within the regions.
  3. Develop and implement professional standards and monitor adherence to policies and procedures at all levels within the company to ensure continued compliance.
  4. Engage in the compliance audit program and ensure governance requirements are met at each site.
  5. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders regarding safeguarding, complaints, and incidents.
  6. Ensure all agreed reporting is up to date, specifically take responsibility for weekly reporting of business improvement or difficulties to the Operations Manager.
  7. Ensure the maintenance of professional standards of care within relevant Codes of Professional Practice and engage with clinical networks.

Requirements:

  1. Expert specialist knowledge of leading, implementing, and reviewing quality initiatives in a social care setting.
  2. Educated to a degree level or equivalent and have extensive experience of managing and leading CQC rated 'good' adult social care services.
  3. Knowledge and experience of managing change, quality improvement processes, and site turnaround.
  4. Detailed and up-to-date knowledge of the social care industry, regulatory matters, and current best practice.
  5. Experience of discussing issues with, and presenting findings to, senior management teams.
  6. Strong report writing skills with the ability to present information (both financial and non-financial) and recommendations in a clear and logical way.
  7. Registered Nurse, Social Worker, or equivalent professional qualification with demonstrable experience of working within Learning Disability, mental health, or care homes services is desirable but not essential.
  8. Evidence of having implemented practices which have resulted in positive outcomes for people with a learning disability, mental health needs, and/or older people.
  9. Excellent IT skills.
  10. Fantastic people and organisational skills.
  11. Eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship or restriction.
  12. A valid UK driving licence is essential for the role as regular travel to services will be expected on a weekly basis.
