The Role

As Marketing Manager EU Events, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the EU events marketing strategy, managing the events marketing team, and allocating workload. You will also be responsible for running simultaneous event marketing campaigns, achieving revenue targets for the EU events portfolio, and managing the marketing team to deliver on their designated targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement EU events marketing strategy and implementation
  • Manage events marketing team and allocate workload
  • Run simultaneous event marketing campaigns
  • Achieve revenue targets for EU events portfolio
  • Manage marketing team to deliver on designated targets
  • Track and control budgets across EU portfolio
  • Responsible for creation, editing, and proofing of promotional materials
  • Manage existing and develop new key strategic media and association partners
  • Increase profile of conferences across industries
  • Manage marketing campaigns for large-scale events
  • Creation, copywriting, and fulfillment of email marketing activity
  • Partnerships: fulfill agreements with partners, desk research of potential partners, and contact details
  • Update event websites, create online banners, and resize logos/photos
  • Manage production of marketing literature for events
  • Market research and data management: data segmentation and lists management
  • Media and social media: utilize news resources to fuel content and social media campaign elements

Requirements

  • Degree in marketing or related field
  • Demonstrated experience with managing direct marketing campaigns and B2B marketing
  • Supervisory/management experience
  • Proven experience with social media or SEO
  • Familiarity with Google analytics and metric analysis
  • Intermediate Photoshop skill level; Dreamweaver and HTML coding skills advantageous
  • Confidence in using CRM and Microsoft Office packages, specifically Excel for data manipulation
  • Event and conference industry experience a plus
  • A self-assured negotiator with confidence to deal with media and supporting partners
