Key Responsibilities:

As Head of Casualty and Motor Technical Underwriting, you will be responsible for setting the underwriting strategy for our UK General Insurance business, focusing on Casualty and Motor Lines classes. You will work closely with our Commercial Lines senior leadership to deliver ambitious growth targets and ensure the effective operation of control frameworks to manage underwriting risks.

You Will:

  1. Set the UK GI underwriting strategy for Casualty and Motor Lines classes, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  2. Oversee the delegation of underwriting authorities to CL underwriters, ensuring clarity and purpose
  3. Define the CL Underwriting Risk Appetite, considering the Commercial Lines P&L and Casualty and Motor Lines classes
  4. Develop and maintain technical underwriting guidance for Casualty and Motor Lines classes
  5. Collaborate with the Exposure Management, Pricing, and Insights teams to set pricing strategies and rates for Casualty and Motor Lines
