Data Compliance Officer

We are seeking a skilled Data Compliance Officer to support our HR Team in administering Creative Support's Certificate of Sponsorship programme. This role involves assisting employees and managers on immigration and right to work, including supporting employees through the Certificate of Sponsorship process and Skilled Work Visa application.
The ideal candidate must have strong computer skills, working primarily in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Excellent customer services skills are essential as you will be liaising and meeting staff members. You will be responsible for supporting and guiding employees on immigration and right to work options.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the HR Service Director in administering the Certificate of Sponsorship programme.
- Manage right to work check processes for both current employees and new recruits to maintain compliance with Immigration Sponsor License.
- Manage specific ongoing processes, review CoS documents, right to work checks, and application tracking.
- Maintain accurate records, including updating UKVI records on iTrent and the Home Office Sponsorship Management System (SMS).
- Arrange and conduct sponsorship interviews with senior HR Team members and staff requesting Visa Sponsorship.
- Manage the visa sponsorship email inbox, triaging cases for action or signposting where required.
- Answer telephone queries professionally from staff and managers regarding right to work or visa sponsorship.
- Create and submit weekly and monthly reports to the HR team and HR Service Director to review immigration data.
- Ensure all staff files remain up to date and accurate, adhering to UKVI Compliance rules and regulations.
- Support employees in applying for their Skilled Worker Visa, including creating Visa Application guides.
- Liaise with our external Immigration Consultant on complex queries regarding sponsorship, visa applications, and right to work.
Required Skills:
- Proven administrative experience within a Human Resources function or corporate department.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate sensitively and effectively.
- Discreet and confidential approach.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, well-organized, and able to work proactively and autonomously in a team environment.
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
- Willingness to seek and identify alternative solutions when faced with obstacles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word. Comfortable using online systems like iTrent and SMS.
This role involves working primarily within the Human Resources Department but may also require support for Head Office and Local offices as needed, as well as managing compliance requirements for the business.
This position reports to the TUPE HR Manager, the Head of People & Performance, and the HR Service Director. Time management and checking paperwork are crucial elements of this job, and you must feel comfortable sending reports for senior management review.
Confident communication with staff members in person, over the phone, and via email is a major part of this role.
