Job Title: Associate Director, Head of Strategy, Analysis and Communications, Donor PartnershipsJob Summary

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead its Donor Partnerships team. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping the Bank's donor agenda and strategic relations with its growing donor community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective strategies for working with donors, aligned with the Bank's five-year Strategic and Capital Framework (SCF) and key policies.
  • Lead the Blended Finance Hub, working with banking colleagues to design effective blended finance structures and engage with donors and raise awareness of blended finance options and structures.
  • Ensure the Bank has access to timely and high-quality data and analysis on its use of donor funds and broader donor engagement, including setting up systems and tools to facilitate the generation of financial data and analysis.
  • Represent the Bank in international donor fora, such as the OECD and UN events on SDGs and Aid Effectiveness, and contribute to strategic planning of the Bank's donor agenda.
  • Engage with multiple departments and colleagues across EBRD, with frequent external outreach and stakeholder engagement in the broader donor community and with actors on the international donor scene.
Requirements
  • Extensive work experience (15 years) and knowledge of working with donors and international development cooperation, in both a bilateral and multilateral context.
  • Experience working for / with Development Financial Institutions/Multilateral Development Banks.
  • Deep understanding of the global development agenda and blended finance debate, donor policy priorities, global aid architecture and best practice for use of donor funds.
