Job Title: Senior Occupational Therapist - Clinical Leadership

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team at St Andrew's Healthcare. As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for leading and developing our occupational therapy service, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to our patients.

About the Role:
  • Lead and develop the occupational therapy service, ensuring high-quality care and outcomes for patients.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care plans and interventions.
  • Develop and implement clinical governance policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective practice.
  • Contribute to the development of the occupational therapy service, including service improvement initiatives and quality assurance activities.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff members, promoting their professional development and well-being.

Requirements:
  • 5 years' experience as an occupational therapist, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Postgraduate training in sensory integration or evidence of using sensory approaches in practice.
  • Experience working in secure mental health services or a similar setting.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong clinical governance and quality assurance skills, with experience of developing and implementing policies and procedures.
