About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at St Andrew's Healthcare. As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for leading and developing our occupational therapy service within the division, working closely with the Lead Occupational Therapist to drive the occupational therapy strategy forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a small team of occupational therapists, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality occupational therapy services.
  • Develop and implement occupational therapy strategies and initiatives to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to occupational therapy services.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
  • Participate in quality assurance and continuous quality improvement projects to ensure the highest standards of care.
Requirements
  • 5 years' experience as an occupational therapist, with at least 2 years of line management and leadership responsibilities.
  • Postgraduate training in sensory integration and/or evidence of the use of sensory approaches within practice.
  • Experience working in secure services and/or mental health care, with a strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop good professional relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
