Autism Support Specialist

A supportive role for a Psychology Graduate to develop skills in Autism Support, working with students aged 4-19 at a school in the Guildford/Godalming area. This position focuses on individual happiness and well-being, where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
About the Role
This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated Graduate to work as an Autism Support Assistant at Academics Ltd. As an integral member of the team, you will support students with learning difficulties, including autism, sensory impairments, physical difficulties, social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, and associated challenging behaviors.
Your Responsibilities
- Support students with varying needs, providing consistency and equipping them with tools for success.
- Work alongside teachers and specialist staff to create a positive learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure seamless support.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have excellent interpersonal skills, a calm and resilient demeanor, and high levels of empathy. You must also be able to remain focused under pressure and adapt to changing situations. While previous experience is not necessary, a strong desire to help others achieve their full potential is essential.
Benefits
This role offers an ASAP start with excellent on-site training, support, and CPD to ensure safeguarding of all students. The salary range is £85-£100 per day. Please note that the right to work in the UK is required for this position, and no Visa sponsorship is available.
