Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Affordable Housing Coordinator to join our team at Simon Community NI. The successful candidate will play a vital role in expanding housing opportunities and contributing to the elimination of homelessness in our community.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with landlords, tenants, and other stakeholders to increase access to affordable and secure housing.
  • Work closely with the team to develop and implement strategies to address housing supply and demand issues in Northern Ireland.
  • Essential Criteria:
  1. CIH Level 4 qualification in Housing or degree in a related discipline (e.g., Housing, Property Management, Social Policy) OR A minimum of two years' relevant experience in a housing-related role with a commitment to obtaining a CIH Level 4 qualification within an agreed timeframe.
  2. Demonstrate a detailed understanding of the operation and regulation of the private rented sector in Northern Ireland, including landlord responsibilities and tenant rights.
  3. Show a strong understanding of housing supply and availability in Northern Ireland, particularly in relation to social housing, the private rented sector, and people at risk of homelessness. Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, tenants, and other stakeholders.
  4. Hold a full, clean driving licence (or alternative means of travel if a disability prevents driving), as regular travel across Northern Ireland will be essential.
