About the Role

As a Lead Surgical Practitioner at Practice Plus Group in Plymouth, you will play a vital role in the management of our theatre operations team. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the daily activities of the department, ensuring that we deliver efficient and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume overall responsibility for theatre operations, including staff management, policy development, and quality assurance.
  • Liaise with consultants, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to plan and coordinate surgical services.
  • Supervise the use of equipment, supplies, and inventory to optimize resource utilization.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including theatre managers, nurses, and porters.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
Person Specification
  • RN Level 1 / RODP qualification.
  • Teaching/mentoring qualification.
  • Specialist theatre training, such as ENB 183/176 or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years' experience in the operating environment, with a proven track record of leadership and management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Working Arrangements

This full-time position offers a competitive salary of £60,000-£70,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including private health insurance, pension scheme, and annual leave.
