Cancer Awareness Specialist

We are seeking a motivated Cancer Awareness Specialist to join our team at Ad Warrior. The successful candidate will play a key role in increasing awareness of cancer prevention, early signs, and screening in targeted communities.
This is a fixed-term contract for 18 months, with 15 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have experience working with priority communities in Barnet and be able to communicate complex information in an easy-to-understand manner.
The estimated salary for this position is £27,010 per annum, pro-rata for part-time post-holders. The successful candidate will work closely with Barnet Together and Barnet Council Public Health to maximize engagement opportunities.
Main Responsibilities- Engage Barnet communities to raise awareness of cancer prevention, early signs, and symptoms
- Identify and deliver practical solutions to address concerns and barriers to health screening
- Support communities to increase their understanding and ability to prevent ill health and manage wider health conditions
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Awareness of wider health inequalities in Barnet
- Experience working or living well with priority communities in Barnet
- Digital skills to share information, promote events, etc.
