We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our Independent Living team in Surrey. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing person-centred support to deaf and deafblind individuals, enabling them to develop the skills needed to live independently.

About the Role
  • Provide one-to-one and group support to deaf and deafblind individuals, using British Sign Language (BSL) or specialist communication systems like Makaton.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement person-centred support plans.
  • Support individuals with additional needs, such as learning disabilities or mental health challenges, to achieve their goals and aspirations.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment, prioritizing colleague wellbeing and supporting each other to achieve great outcomes.
Requirements
  • BSL Level 1 is essential for this role, with Level 2 desirable. We will offer training as part of the role where required.
  • Be a car owner/driver, as travel is required for this position.
  • Have a positive attitude, flexible approach, and a commitment to delivering high-quality support.
