Weekend Care Opportunity
Job Description:
We are seeking a Support Worker to provide high-level care to an 18-year-old young woman in a private family home in Ewell, Surrey.
The Client:
The client is a bubbly young lady with a love of music, who enjoys pamper sessions, having her hair styled, and her nails manicured. She likes to go out for walks, drives in the car, and swimming. She has a great sense of humour and needs her Support Workers to be positive and proactive in the support they provide.
The Client\'s Needs:
The client suffers from cerebral palsy, epilepsy, visual impairment, and learning difficulties, and therefore requires support in all areas of her day-to-day life.
The Role:
As a Support Worker on a Saturday and Sunday, you will be part of an established care team, providing attentive and high-level care to the client to ensure she is able to enjoy her hobbies and access the local community. You will need to be proficient in medication administration, record keeping, and be willing to learn the client\'s communication strategies as she is non-verbal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing high-level care to the client
- Assisting the client with daily living activities
- Supporting the client\'s emotional wellbeing
- Attending to the client\'s physical needs
Requirements:
- Experience as a Support Worker, ideally on a 1:1 basis with a private client
- Experience of working with complex needs would be an advantage
- Calm but positive personality with a good sense of humour
