Role Overview:
Drake Primary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to fill the position of Teaching Assistant, specializing in supporting pupils across our Main School and within our Autism Specialist Resource Base (SRB). This role presents a unique opportunity for an excellent practitioner to work collaboratively with our team, facilitating pupil success and developing inclusive practices.

**Key Responsibilities:**
  • Supporting pupils across the school, both in their main school and SRB classrooms
  • Engaging pupils in their learning through modeling, scaffolding, and adaptive teaching strategies to ensure progress across the curriculum
  • Collaborating with colleagues across the school to implement high standards of practice and support class teams in delivering provision for SRB pupils
  • Enabling pupils to grow in independence and autonomy by adapting support to facilitate inclusion into the wider school
  • Supporting pupils during less structured times of the day, such as playtimes, to model positive communication skills and mediate peer conflict
  • Responding to incidents of pupil dysregulation, ensuring adherence to Zones Profile Plans where applicable
  • Delivering and assisting with effective interventions, such as Zones of Regulation, Attention Autism, and Colourful Semantics

Salary: £24,790-£25,183 (D) or £25,584-£27,269 (E), dependent on qualifications and experience.
