About the Role

The Dorset Voluntary and Community Sector Assembly (VCSA) is seeking a highly skilled Programme Manager/Director to lead and manage the work of the Assembly across the county.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the impact and resilience of the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) in Dorset.
  • Represent the VCS at system level, ensuring fair representation and increasing awareness of VCS issues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with VCS organisations, groups, and individuals, as well as leaders and representatives within the Integrated Care System (ICS).
  • Collaborate with partners to increase networking and engagement, and facilitate stronger connections within the VCS.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Assembly, working closely with the Business Support Worker.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership and management experience in a similar role.
  • Deep understanding of the VCS in Dorset and a wide experience of the sector.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and relationships.
  • Passion for improving the lives of people in Dorset and a commitment to building trust and acting with fairness.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary of £50k depending on experience.
  • Reasonable travel expenses in line with HMRC guidelines.

Working Arrangements

  • Full-time role, 37 hours per week, worked flexibly.
  • Some out-of-hours activities may be required.
