About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Programme Manager/Director to lead and manage the work of the Dorset Voluntary and Community Sector Assembly (VCSA). This is a unique opportunity to join our team and shape the strategic direction of the Assembly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Assembly, working closely with the Business Support Worker.
  • Represent the VCS at system level in the Integrated Care Partnership (ICP) and Integrated Care Board (ICB).
  • Oversee the fair representation of the VCS in various settings.
  • Increase awareness of VCS issues, foster stronger connections within the VCS, and facilitate networking and collaboration with partners and stakeholders.
  • Enable the work of the Assembly across its four operational areas: communications, networking and engagement, representation, and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Leadership and management experience in a voluntary sector context.
  • Strong relationships and connections built on trust with VCS organisations, groups, and individuals.
  • Sensitivity and integrity, with a deep understanding of the VCS in Dorset and a wide experience of the sector.
  • Passion and tenacity, with the ability to build consensus and champion minority voices.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including some out-of-hours activities.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of £50k, depending on experience.
