About the Role
Newcastle College is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our Building Services department as a Lecturer in Building Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality learning programmes in building services and general construction across various levels of further education, higher education, and apprenticeship provision.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver and assess learning programmes in building services and general construction
- Undertake programme leadership, tutorial, and programme administration duties
- Develop and maintain a strong background in building services or electrical maintenance
- Hold a post-16 teaching qualification and English and maths qualifications at level 2, or be willing to achieve these within an agreed timeframe
- Have experience of effective programme leadership in FE, HE, and/or Apprenticeships
- Have a proven track record of successful teaching and assessment practice
Requirements
- Strong background in building services or electrical maintenance
- Proven track record of professional/vocational expertise in the domestic or commercial construction and built environment sector
- Ability to self-manage workload, meet deadlines, and possess strong oral and written communication skills
- Good IT skills
Working Arrangements
