Job Overview
Newcastle College is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to take on the role of Academic Professional in Building Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and assessing high-quality learning programmes in building services and general construction across various levels of further education, higher education, and/or apprenticeship provision.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver and assess learning programmes in building services and general construction
- Undertake programme leadership, tutorial, and programme administration duties
- Have a strong background in building services or electrical maintenance
- Hold a post-16 teaching qualification and English and maths qualifications at level 2
Requirements
- Minimum level 3 electrical qualification or industry-recognised standard in a relevant field
- Proven track record of professional/vocational expertise in the domestic or commercial construction and built environment sector
- Ability to self-manage workload, meet deadlines, and possess strong oral and written communication skills
