The Opportunity
Newcastle College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our Building Services department as a Lecturer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality learning programmes in building services and general construction, across a range of levels, including further education, higher education, and apprenticeships.
Key responsibilities will include programme leadership, tutorial, and administration duties, as well as the delivery and assessment of learning programmes.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in building services or electrical maintenance, and a proven track record of professional/vocational expertise in the domestic or commercial construction and built environment sector.
The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of level 3 electrical qualification, a post-16 teaching qualification, and English and maths qualifications at level 2, or be willing to achieve these within an agreed timeframe.
Experience of effective programme leadership in FE, HE, and/or Apprenticeships, as well as a proven track record of successful teaching and assessment practice, is highly desirable.
The successful candidate will be able to self-manage workload, meet deadlines, and possess strong oral and written communication skills, as well as good IT skills.

- Contribute to the development of the Building Services department
