Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Generalist Lead to join our team at McCambridge Duffy. As an HR professional, you will be responsible for overseeing the HR function, providing guidance on employment law and best practices, managing recruitment, employee relations, and staff development.

This role requires a confident, proactive professional who thrives in a dynamic environment. You will have access to external experts to assist with all HR matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. HR Strategy and Support: Advise directors on HR strategy, policy, and legal compliance. Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with current UK and ROI legislation.
  2. Recruitment and Onboarding: Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, shortlisting, interviewing, and hiring. Oversee the onboarding process to ensure a seamless experience for new hires.
  3. Employee Relations: Act as the first point of contact for employee queries and grievances. Mediate and resolve workplace disputes and maintain harmonious working relationships.
  4. Performance Management: Support directors in managing appraisals, performance reviews, and improvement plans. Implement training and development programs to enhance staff skills and career progression.
  5. Compliance and Reporting: Maintain accurate employee records in compliance with GDPR and other regulations. Prepare HR reports and metrics for directors to support decision-making.
  6. Culture and Engagement: Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention. Organise staff events and wellbeing programs to promote a positive workplace culture.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar HR role, ideally within professional services or a medium-sized organisation. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with discretion.

Possession of knowledge of HR software systems is desirable.
