Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute category strategies that align with business goals and objectives

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Category Manager or in a similar commercial role within the building materials industry
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build effective supplier relationships, with a focus on driving cost savings and improving quality
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and market trends, and make informed decisions to drive business growth
  • Experience managing product ranges and developing category strategies, with a focus on delivering business results and improving customer satisfaction
  • Commercially astute with a strong understanding of pricing, margins, and profitability, and the ability to make informed decisions to drive business growth
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, with a focus on building strong relationships and driving business results
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software, with the ability to analyse data and make informed decisions
