About the RoleThis is a rare opportunity to be part of a new healthcare team from the inception of a brand new prison site. As a Senior Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing outstanding quality-based patient-centered care to our patients, focusing on providing a safe and secure medicines management service.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient-centered care, listening to and acting on patient feedback to ensure personalized and informed care.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy team, including work planning, resource allocation, and supervision of pharmacy staff.
- Share information on pharmaceutical products, medicines management, and general health education with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
We offer a competitive salary of between £36,750 and £44,100 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive a bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training course, competency framework, regional and national career development opportunities, and support from the wider team.
Person SpecificationWe are looking for a qualified and experienced pharmacy professional with a strong background in pharmacy practice, including a NVQ Level 3 or above, Accuracy Checking Technician qualification, and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council. You will also need to have up-to-date Continual Professional Development (CPD) and relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience.
Although not essential, ideal applicants will have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
