Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to fill the role of Lead Advocate for Vulnerable Populations at Hestia Housing Support. As an advocate, you will work closely with residents, ensuring their access to essential services and resources.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for identifying risks and implementing appropriate safeguarding measures, as well as advocating on behalf of residents to ensure they receive the support they need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advocate on behalf of residents to ensure access to ECAT rights and help them navigate through the NRM.
  • Identify and assess any risks and put in place appropriate safeguarding measures in response to these risks.
  • Professionally deal with urgent requests and unpredicted issues.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A good grasp of public and private services available to residents with no recourse to public funds as well as those who do have recourse.
  • The ability to write official letters on behalf of service users to the Home Office, or other partner agencies.
  • Attendance at team meetings, supervisions with your line manager, clinical supervision and mandatory training sessions.
