About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Child Care Worker to join our team in supporting vulnerable children and young people in our care homes. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, stimulating, and caring environment that enables our young people to thrive and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and young people, providing emotional support and guidance as needed.
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe and stimulating environment, including planning and organizing activities that promote learning and development.
  • Support young people with disabilities and complex needs, providing personal care and assistance as required.
  • Manage behavior in a positive and assertive manner, using de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement care plans, risk assessments, and other administrative tasks.
Requirements
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care (or equivalent) or a commitment to achieving the qualification.
  • 6 months experience supporting children or young people with additional emotional/behavioural issues.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and colleagues.
  • Patience, resilience, and emotional intelligence, with a commitment to providing high-quality care and support.
