About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Practitioner to join our team in one of our children's homes in Leeds. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and nurturing living environment for children and young people with emotional and behavioral challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and young people, promoting their personal growth and development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide a supportive and therapeutic environment.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, education, and wider learning activities.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care (or equivalent) or commitment to achieving the qualification within a reasonable period.
  • Recent experience supporting children or young people with emotional and behavioral issues.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, bank holidays, and nights.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £26,421.00 - £28,770.00 (pro rata for part-time), with potential earnings of £29,817 - £32,419 (including enhancements).
