Support Children and Young People in Residential Care

At Brook Street Social Care, we are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people in our care. As a Residential Child Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the emotional, physical, and educational needs of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support children and young people in daily routines, including personal care tasks and activities
  • Manage care plans and conduct risk assessments to ensure the best outcomes for our residents
  • Foster strong relationships with children and young people through positive behaviour management and daily interactions
  • Collaborate with families, professionals, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for our residents

Requirements:
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care (or equivalent)
  • Recent experience working with children or vulnerable adults in a paid or voluntary capacity
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with children, young people, and professionals
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour using restorative approaches and de-escalation techniques
