Clinical Lead for Endoscopy Services

Job Summary
The Clinical Lead for Endoscopy plays a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-focused care within the Medical and Diagnostic Care Group. Reporting to the Medical Director, this individual will work closely with the Director of Operations and Director of Nursing to drive clinical excellence and advocate for the company within clinical networks.
Main Responsibilities
As a subject matter expert in Endoscopy, the Clinical Lead will provide leadership to Consultants within the specialty, ensuring that clinical standards and care provision are of the highest order. Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as a clinical lead and subject matter expert across Endoscopy insourced services, providing advice and input to operational planning of new contracts.
- Promoting and advocating for the company within clinical networks and wider, to maximise opportunities for business development and engagement with existing and potential customers, partners, and clinicians.
- Supporting the Medical Director and Director of Nursing in management of Clinical Teams, including conduct reviews, incident investigation, disciplinary hearings, and other Clinical Governance processes.
- Leading on audits, review of KPIs, and ongoing maintenance of clinical standards and care delivery.
About the Role
The Medical and Diagnostic Care Group provides insourced clinical services to NHS Trusts nationwide, supporting reductions in patient waiting lists and elective recovery strategies. As a Clinical Lead for Endoscopy, you will be part of a professional, multi-disciplinary team, backed up by 24/7 head office support and a robust governance framework, to ensure patient safety and excellence in clinical outcomes.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Endoscopy Consultant with at least 2 years' experience post-CCT, possessing exceptional clinical standards and JAG KPIs. They will have experience of complaint management and governance, as well as networking and business development.
