Job Summary

The Clinical Lead for Endoscopy plays a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-focused care within our insourced endoscopy services. Reporting to the Medical Director, this individual will work closely with the Director of Operations and Director of Nursing to drive clinical excellence and advocate for the company within clinical networks.

Main Responsibilities

As a subject matter expert in endoscopy, the Clinical Lead will provide leadership to Consultants within the specialty, ensuring that clinical standards and care provision are of the highest order. Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a clinical lead and subject matter expert across endoscopy insourced services, providing advice and input to operational planning and contract delivery.
  • Promoting and advocating for the company within clinical networks and wider, to maximize opportunities for business development and engagement with existing and potential customers, partners, and clinicians.
  • Supporting the Medical Director and Director of Nursing in the management of Clinical Teams, including conduct reviews, incident investigation, disciplinary hearings, and other Clinical Governance processes.
  • Leading on audits, review of KPIs, and ongoing maintenance of clinical standards and care delivery to ensure excellence in care delivery.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Endoscopy Consultant experience with at least 2 years post-CCT.
  • Exceptional clinical standards and JAG KPIs, with credibility among peers as a lead clinical for the specialty.
  • Experience of complaint management and governance.
  • Experience of networking and business development.
