Procurement Expert

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Procurement to lead our clients' procurement team and drive their sourcing strategies. This is a newly created role, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, managing a team of 7 buyers and focused on creating and delivering a procurement strategy that supports the company's ambitious growth plans over the next three to five years.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement principles and procedures, with experience in leading Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) activities with overseas suppliers and an understanding of cultural nuances. They will also possess excellent negotiation skills, a proven track record of successfully managing supplier relationships, and strong leadership and team management skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that are innovative, cost-effective, and incorporate the growing complexities and challenges within the industry. They will also lead and manage a team of procurement professionals, ensuring continuous development and improvement.
Key responsibilities include:

- • Leading Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) activities with the key suppliers in the UK, Far East, India and Eastern Europe.
- • Managing the procurement process and the supply base efficiently and effectively.
- • Establishing and maintaining relationships with senior management and key stakeholders.
- • Overseeing the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure an efficient and compliant procurement process.
- • Monitoring market trends, competitor strategies, and market suppliers.
- • Negotiating major procurement contracts to achieve optimal terms and conditions.
Salary range: £80,000 – £90,000 + Benefits
