Job Description

Instron Corporation is a leading organization in the materials testing industry, with a strong presence globally. This role will be based at our European headquarters in High Wycombe, UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and maintenance to end-users within the organization's computing environment.
  • Install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade all end-user devices and equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Administration and Procurement:

  • Manage monthly recurring invoices and contract renewals for IT, including software and hardware maintenance renewals.
  • Procure IT-related equipment, including purchase order requisitions.
  • Assist with helpdesk and cybersecurity-related reporting.

Operations:

  • Perform basic PC imaging and profile setup for new computers.
  • Install and deploy software to PCs.
  • Patch network devices.
  • Monitor helpdesk tickets and escalate to required IT teams or third parties.
  • Manage user accounts on various systems.

The ideal candidate will have a college diploma or equivalent work experience, with certifications in IT-related subjects advantageous. Expert technical knowledge of current network and PC operating systems is essential, along with experience with Windows PCs and Operating Systems. Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building abilities are also required.
