Key Responsibilities- Provide expert advice and guidance to senior management and department heads on health and safety matters, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Develop and implement effective health and safety policies, procedures, and training programs to minimize risks and promote a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement controls to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that health and safety is integrated into all aspects of our operations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and industry experts, to stay up-to-date on the latest health and safety trends and best practices.
- Good standard of secondary education with demonstrable literacy and numeracy skills.
- IOSH Managing Safely / IOSH Working Safely course.
- NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (or the willingness to undertake qualification).
- Previous experience working in the healthcare industry or a similar customer-orientated organization.
- Track record of successful people and process management, ideally in a multi-functional environment.
- Understanding of Health & Safety and risk issues and legislation in a healthcare organization.
