Job Title: Residential Childcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Polaris Community. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with emotional behavioural difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized care and support to children and young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, their families, and other professionals.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of personalized care plans, ensuring the needs of each young person are met.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in residential childcare.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a safe and supportive living environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Hold a relevant qualification in childcare or a related field (e.g., Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma, Children and Young People's Workforce/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with young people, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including sleep-ins, and participate in a rotational shift pattern.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a car, as travel may be required.
