About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Polaris Community. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support and care to children and young people with emotional behavioral difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized care and support to children and young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with young people, their families, and other professionals involved in their care.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring the needs of each young person are met.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive environment by promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding.
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge, ensuring you are equipped to provide the best possible care.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children and young people with emotional behavioral difficulties.
  • Ability to work flexibly and be part of a rotating shift pattern, including sleep-ins.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with young people, families, and colleagues.
  • Hold a relevant qualification in childcare or a related field, or be willing to work towards a required qualification.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a car for travel to work-related activities.
