About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Worker to join our team at Lily Residential Services. As a Residential Childcare Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily care and support to children and young people, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Develop strong, trusting relationships with the children to provide emotional support and stability.
  • Implement therapeutic techniques and interventions as part of a care plan, working closely with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of the child's progress, behaviours, and any incidents.
  • Support the child's educational needs, including helping with homework and liaising with schools.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on best practices in child care, behaviour management, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Engage in reflective practice to continually improve the quality of care provided.
  • Act as an advocate for the child's needs and rights within the home and in interactions with external agencies.
  • Empower the child by involving them in decisions about their care and encouraging self-advocacy skills.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a children's home setting, preferably with a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Reliable, compassionate, and excellent communication skills.
  • A driving license is required.
