Main Job Responsibilities:

As a Residential Childcare Support Worker at Budwood, you will be part of a team that provides flexible and individual care packages to children and young adults. Your main duties will include promoting, safeguarding, and protecting the welfare of our young people, establishing and maintaining positive and trusting relationships with them, and encouraging their development of individual interests.

Requirements:

Experience of working with children and young people, as well as an understanding of the issues that face young people in care.
Flexibility in your availability, as you will be required to work shifts including sleep ins over a week rotation.
Ability to work well as part of a team and accept direction and guidance.
Hold a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma/Children and Young People's Workforce/NVQ Level in Health & Social Care or equivalent – or be willing to work towards a required qualification and upgrade to a Level diploma.
Have a full UK driving licence and car, as this role will involve travelling.
Excellent communication and listening skills.
Be willing to learn and undertake a DBS check at enhanced level if successful for the position.
