We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Polaris Community. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support and care to children and young people with emotional behavioural difficulties.
As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will be responsible for promoting the welfare and well-being of our young people, establishing and maintaining positive relationships, and working collaboratively with our team to provide individualized care packages.
Key Responsibilities- Provide emotional support and guidance to children and young people, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with our young people, their families, and other professionals.
- Work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring the needs of each young person are met.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to a safe and supportive living environment, promoting the health and well-being of our young people.
- Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a residential care setting.
- Ability to work flexibly, including sleep-ins and rotational shifts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team, with a willingness to learn and develop your skills.
- Hold a relevant qualification in childcare or a related field, or be willing to work towards one.
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
