Main Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized care packages and support to our young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement personalized care plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our young people.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with our young people, their families, and other stakeholders, promoting a sense of belonging and connection.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in areas such as developmental trauma, therapeutic parenting, and child-centered care.
  • Contribute to a culture of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our young people, adhering to our organization's policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children and young people, particularly those with emotional behavioral difficulties and social and emotional mental health needs.
  • Flexibility in your availability, including working 7 x 24-hour shifts, including sleep-ins, over a 3-week rotation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Hold a relevant qualification in childcare or a related field, such as a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma or NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a car, as this role involves traveling.
  • Ability to work well as part of a small team, with a willingness to learn and adapt to changing circumstances.
