Senior Biometric QA Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Biometric QA Engineer to join our team in Cardiff, UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing test infrastructure, test planning, and testing for biometric solutions in the HID Global Business Area.

The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and implementing testing techniques, identifying and liaising with external test facilities, and project managing technical teams. They should also have a good understanding of system/solution testing, interoperability, and longer-term stress/reliability testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement test plans and procedures
  • Identify and mitigate testing risks
  • Support sensor and system testing
  • Install and configure hardware and software
  • Conduct functional testing and debugging

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in quality assurance or a related field
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Validation, or PACS Systems
  • Comprehensive knowledge of biometric solutions and AWS
  • Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with tracking software development using Jira or similar programs

Estimated Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 per year
