About the Role

">

We are seeking an experienced Senior Implementation Engineer to lead our Biometrics QA team in Cardiff, UK. As Engineering Team Lead, you will be responsible for designing and implementing test infrastructure, developing test plans, and executing testing for biometric solutions.

">

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including TDD, and experience working with Agile and Lean Methodologies. They will also possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Familiar with a wide range of testing techniques">
  • Able to identify and liaise with external test facilities to cover test gaps">
  • Contributes to project and product planning discussions">
  • Able to raise defects with the business and help prioritize them based on severity">
  • Has knowledge of TDD methodology and leads stakeholders in its implementation">
  • Good understanding of System/Solution testing, interoperability, and longer-term stress/reliability testing">
  • Implements E-2-E and Ux testing of the System/Solution">
  • Possesses and applies knowledge principles, practices, and procedures over a wide range of fields including but not limited to Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Validation, and PACS Systems including Biometric solutions and AWS">
  • Prior experience of carrying out device testing, software testing, or other related testing experience">
  • Familiarity with software installation and configuration in Windows and Linux environments">
  • Ability to install and configure basic computer system hardware components and establish connections to local area networks and back-end processing systems">
  • Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications and diagramming flow charts to document test processes and design">
  • Engineering degree or equivalent or suitable experience">
  • Experience with SQL DB queries to validate software recording proper data and ensure participant data ingested properly prior to testing">
  • Experience with tracking software development using Jira or other similar programs">
  • Experience of Agile and Lean Methodologies">
