About The Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Scunthorpe. The successful candidate will work a combination of mornings and afternoons on a rotating shift pattern.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To carry out planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring the smooth operation of our factory and associated systems.
  • To provide rapid response to breakdowns, minimizing downtime and maintaining productivity.
  • To fault find, troubleshoot, and maintain, repair conveyor systems, equipment, and plant using all engineering disciplines.
  • To follow up on any faults picked up on PPMs, ensuring that all issues are addressed promptly.
  • To maintain engineering standards, ensuring that our factory and associated systems operate effectively and reliably.
  • To assist specialist subcontractors' requirements, both for PPM and reactive works.
  • To ensure that company QA and site procedures are adhered to in all aspects.
  • To maintain a safe and healthy working environment, adhering to company and site Health & Safety procedures.
  • To keep and maintain all company-issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner.
  • To proactively work towards the continued success and support of the business, demonstrating a can-do attitude.
  • To complete any other associated tasks requested by management.
  • To maintain a tidy and well-maintained workstation.

About You

Key Skills and Desires:

  • A minimum Level 3 qualification in mechanical engineering and relevant experience.
  • A PLC qualification.
