About the Mechanical Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to work at our manufacturing facility in Scunthorpe. The successful candidate will work a combination of mornings and afternoons on a rotating shift pattern.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To carry out planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring the smooth operation of our factory and associated systems.
  • To provide rapid response to breakdowns and faults, minimizing lost production time.
  • To fault find, troubleshoot, and maintain conveyor systems, equipment, and plant using all engineering disciplines.
  • To follow up on any faults picked up on PPMs and ensure engineering standards are maintained.
  • To assist specialist subcontractors and ensure company QA and site procedures are adhered to.
  • To maintain a safe and serviceable environment, adhering to company and site health and safety procedures.
  • To keep and maintain all company-issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner.
  • To work proactively towards the continued success and support of the business with a can-do attitude.
  • To complete any other associated tasks requested by management.
  • To ensure workstations are kept tidy and well maintained.

About You

Key Skills and Desires:

  • A minimum Level 3 qualification in mechanical engineering and relevant experience.
  • A PLC qualification.
