Senior Social Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior/Supervising Social Worker to join our team at Foster Care Associates (FCA). As a key member of our fostering service, you will play a vital role in supporting foster parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in foster care.
Key Responsibilities- Support foster parents and their families to provide a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for children and young people.
- Monitor the continued suitability and competence of foster parents, ensuring they meet the required standards.
- Provide regular supervision to allocated foster parents, working in partnership to identify needs and develop strategies for support.
- Ensure compliance with key documentation and attend meetings with commissioning teams as required.
- Promote participation of children and young people in the development of the agency and access to resources and opportunities in their local community.
- Social Work qualification and professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent.
- Proven ability to produce high-quality report writing and a comprehensive working knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.
- Ability to travel extensively, including occasional nights away, and confidence in transporting children and young people in stressful situations.
- Full driving license.
