Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to join our team, responsible for driving sales growth and developing strategic relationships within their assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve sales targets and develop a specification program to support the company's overall strategic vision.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to sales enquiries and offering technical support and advice.
  • Work closely with internal sales, operations, and technical teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Generate quotations and manage customer relationships, including technical product queries and sales initiatives.
  • Attend industry events and provide Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions as required.
  • Maintain regular contact with customers at multiple levels within the distribution network.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies in collaboration with the National Sales Manager.
  • Play a key role in building relationships between internal and external sales teams.
  • Work with the National Sales Manager to establish high-level customer contacts on a national basis through regional relationships.
  • Develop and implement sales plans and initiatives with key customers.
  • Prepare and present performance reports and presentations on territory performance.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on customer campaigns, national campaigns, and sales initiatives.
Requirements
  • A full driving license.
  • Proven experience in a similar role or extensive field-based sales experience.
  • Previous experience working within the wastewater industry is desirable.
  • Proven sales skills and excellent people management skills at a senior level.
  • Excellent presentation skills to customers and senior managers.
  • Strong technical bias in the sector is desirable.
