**Empowering Learning** is seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Behavioural Support Specialist. This role is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with challenging behaviour.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide individualized support to students with challenging behaviour, working closely with teachers and other support staff to develop effective strategies for success.
  • Lead sports sessions at break and lunchtimes, using physical activity as a tool for building relationships and promoting positive behaviour.
  • Collaborate with teachers to design and deliver academic interventions for students who require additional support.
  • Work closely with the school's Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to ensure that students with SEN receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, teachers, and other school staff to create a positive and supportive learning environment.

**Requirements:**

  • Hold a Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant degree.
  • Hold at least one sports-based qualification.
  • Have experience working with students with challenging behaviour and a strong understanding of strategies for de-escalating conflicts.
  • Be able to inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential.
