About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Behavioural Support Specialist to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Behavioural Support Tutor, you will work one-to-one with children in the Basford area, providing support and guidance to help them overcome challenging behaviour.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging learning sessions tailored to the individual needs of each child.
  • Work with children who exhibit challenging behaviour, using effective strategies to de-escalate and manage their needs.
  • Monitor progress and plan next steps in learning, ensuring children make progress towards their learning outcomes.
  • Inspire children to achieve and maintain their engagement in learning.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with children or young people, particularly those with challenging behaviour needs.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging learning sessions based on the needs of the learner.
  • Effective behaviour management strategies and coping mechanisms.
  • Ability to raise children's confidence in their learning.
  • SEN experience is desirable but not essential.
