Role Requirements:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Coordinator to join our team. As a Learning Support Coordinator, you will be working with a student who requires one-to-one support due to Attention Deficient/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the student in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities, as well as supporting the student in developing social skills and promoting positive behaviour. You will also be responsible for ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment for the student, as well as supporting the student during transitions between activities and locations within the school.

To be considered for this role, you must have a valid enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to process one. You should also have sound knowledge of ADHD and its impact on learning and development, as well as familiarity with different strategies and interventions for supporting students with ADHD. Additionally, you must be able to adapt and modify learning materials and resources to meet individual needs, and have proficiency in using assistive technology and specialised resources for students with ADHD. Strong observation and assessment skills are also essential, as is the ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding policies.

The ideal candidate will have any qualification in SEN or ADHD support, and first aid certification. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also required, as well as the ability to effectively collaborate with students, teachers, and other professionals.
