Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Phlebotomy team working across Essex and Thurrock areas, covering Community Hospital clinics and domiciliary visits to house-bound patients.

Main Duties of the Job

We are looking to recruit a Phlebotomist to work in this busy fast-paced service and require a keen and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic team. You will work alongside experienced Phlebotomists and the Phlebotomy Manager delivering quality care to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood samples from patients in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Work effectively in a team environment to achieve high-quality patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and other team members.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 2 in Healthcare or equivalent.
  • Competency in venepuncture.
  • 6 months' experience in a clinic environment.
  • 1 year's experience taking bloods in a domiciliary setting.
  • A driver's license and the ability to use a car on a daily basis.
