Information Security Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Information Security Architect to join our newly established Information Security (IS) Team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. The IS team is responsible for implementing, operating, and continuously improving information security controls and processes to protect the trust's information and systems assets from evolving cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with infrastructure and application development projects to identify and recommend remediation for information security risks and compliance with trust security policies and legal requirements.
  • Be the focal point of expertise in defence-in-depth security controls and processes, encompassing IT infrastructure elements and software and database development within the trust.
  • Establish and operate the trust's Secure Software Development Life Cycle (S-SDLC), including processes for liaison with the Third-Party Risk Assurance Specialist for third-party components used in new or changed applications.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience/knowledge in information security, including:

  • Microsoft Windows, Network and Application Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Endpoint Security, Network Security, Server Security, Database Security.
  • IT Infrastructure and application security best practice.
  • Staying up-to-date with developments in network and systems security controls and processes.
  • Risk assessment and management methods.
  • Compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for information security.
