About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Nurse Specialist to join our team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As a Community Mental Health Practitioner, you will work with children and young people, providing tailored interventions to support their mental health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed mental health assessments for young people, identifying and managing risk factors.
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to provide evidence-based interventions.
  • Maintain a caseload of young people, working in an agile and flexible manner to meet their needs.
  • Engage with families and carers, providing support and guidance to promote positive outcomes.

Requirements

  • RMN or LD Post Registration Qualification to Degree level or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience of working therapeutically with children and young people.
  • Experience of assessing and managing risk factors.
