Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Phlebotomist to join our dynamic team in Essex and Thurrock areas. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality phlebotomy services to patients in community hospital clinics and domiciliary visits.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collect blood samples from patients in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time to meet deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and other team members to ensure excellent patient care.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to Trust policies and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Person Specification
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
  • Competency in venepuncture and phlebotomy procedures.
  • 6 months' experience in a clinic environment, with a focus on phlebotomy services.
  • 1 year's experience taking blood samples in a domiciliary setting.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to use a car on a daily basis.
